About Kent and his photography
I have been taking photographs for nearly 60 years. My love of photography is inspired by my father. He was an avid photographer who taught me to see the world through a viewfinder. With his lessons as a basis, coupled with my years of learning and experience, I developed a deep appreciation for nature, culture, and human connection. My aim is to capture a moment, a place, or a story and visually share it with others.
I am a retired diplomat. Previously, I worked in the private sector, served in the military, and taught in university. I have lived and worked in many countries, including Afghanistan, Bosnia, Germany, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, I have traveled to all seven continents.
The types of photography that give me the most pleasure are wildlife, people, and travel; however, I also enjoy and dabble in architectural, street, and other genres.
