About Kent and his photography

I am based just outside of Washington, D.C. Wildlife, people, and travel are my primary photography interests; however, I enjoy architectural, street, and other photographic genres.
My work is inspired by my father's photography. He taught me see the world through a viewfinder. With his lessons as a basis, coupled with my years of global experience I have developed a deep appreciation for nature, culture, and human connection. My aim is to capture a moment, a place, or a story and visually share it with others.
I am a retired diplomat. Before diplomacy, I worked in the private sector, served in the military, and taught in university. I have lived and worked in a number of countries, including Afghanistan, Bosnia, Germany, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, I have traveled widely in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and Antarctica.
